ABOUT ME
Mazal Karan MS, CCC-SLP
Hello! I'm Mazi Karan, a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, and the founder of MKE Speech and Feeding. I earned my M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and an AAS in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from the Milwaukee Area Technical College.
My journey in this field began with a deep-rooted passion for early childhood education, which naturally evolved into a specialty in speech-language pathology.
In my professional journey, I've been fortunate to work across various settings including Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU), pediatric outpatient facilities, and school environments. My most recent position was at a pediatric therapy clinic. There, I had the privilege of leading the establishment of a new speech therapy department. I also played a significant role in formulating the clinic's feeding program, further expanding my competencies. In addition, I led clinical trainings for my fellow therapists and facilitated feeding classes. These collective experiences have enriched my perspective and proficiency in pediatrics with a special interest in feeding therapy.
MY APPROACH

At MKE Speech and Feeding LLC, I offer individualized speech-language therapy and feeding support. My focus is to help children with communication disorders and mealtime difficulties, always aiming to bolster their confidence. My approach is child-centric and involves creating personalized strategies to assist each child's unique journey towards improved communication and nutrition.
Beyond my professional practice, I have volunteered at organizations such as Feeding Matters and the Speech and Hearing Center at Children's Wisconsin. These experiences have amplified my commitment to supporting the growth and development of children, and they continually inform my practice. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your child. Together, we can help your child communicate, eat, and thrive with confidence.
